Overview

This position will work with the General Manager to market the facilities and events while creating and maintaining relationships with media and promotional partners. The

M

arketing Manager

will assist in advertising, media buying, promotions, public relations, interactive media and grassroots efforts for events as assigned.

This role will pay a salary of $50,000 to $60,000.

This position will remain open until November 1, 2024.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain and coordinate event and facility advertising programs and opportunitiesPrepare written proposals; reevaluate potential advertising value of marketing inventory; initiate contractual arrangements; prepare contracts; negotiate terms as requiredPrepare clear and concise advertising/marketing/sponsorship inventory reportsImplement and administer public relations model; plan, organize, and coordinate all public relations efforts for the facility and its eventsDevelop and issue press releases and maintain updated media contact list and relationshipsRegularly review progress of public relations and marketing efforts through report generationAssist in developing marketing plans in an effort to generate revenue and provide added value to the event and/or promoterSolicitation and development of contracts and relevant sales materials; negotiations of agreementsManage and participate in the development and implementation of marketing goals, objectives, policies, and prioritiesCreate and place advertising mediaMaintain and create detailed media budgets, settlement reconciliations, and recap summaries for facility eventsQualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in marketing, public relations, communications, business or other related fieldMinimum 3-5 years of increasingly responsible experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably with a sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility or other multi-purpose public assembly facilityStrong leadership, organizational and computer skills requiredDetail oriented with excellent organizational skillsStrong written, verbal and interpersonal skillsMust be a committed, organized user of social media tools, with an understanding of how to drive programs through digital media, manage database marketing to reach new customers and drive increased revenue.Strong work ethicAccountable and detail-oriented; must be able to juggle many tasks within time constraintsMicrosoft office applications and word processing skills required, as well as database management, graphic design, PowerPointStrong understanding of social media, web-based advertising and website maintenanceTeam player who is a creative and proactive problem solverWork a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended number of days when requiredKnowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred
