Description of Position

Hiring Rate: $16.00/hour

Under the direction of the Visual Arts Instructional Support Specialist, the Visual Arts General Technician will work with the Visual Art Department to build community engagement and expand the educational offerings within the Visual Art Department. The general technician will also collaborate with the Visual and Performing Art Departments and Art galleries to integrate a division-wide social media marketing plan.

This position will be based at the Prescott campus, but there may also be work at the Verde campus when needed. This is a casual part-time position averaging 19 hours per week. Hours worked may include nights and weekends.

Primary responsibilities:

Work with the Visual and Performing Art Departments to integrate a social media marketing plan.

Create photographic and video content for Visual Art Department Events.

Work on graphic and web design projects for Visual and Performing Arts.

Create e-newsletters for the Visual Arts department.

Become familiar with Art Gallery exhibition and Performing Arts Department event schedules.

Schedule campus visits with community groups.

Communicate with the Visual Art Department teaching team?

Work with visiting artists to establish workshops and artist talks.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Expectations & Requirements

Associates in an art related field

1 year working in the art field

1 year experience using social media as a marketing tool and/or knowledge of Adobe Suite
