Overview Placement Type: Temp to Perm Salary (USD): $95-103K Start Date: 09.02.2024 Drive content approval in an agile process methodology, manage risk, and ensure operational effort will deliver value to our customers. The Material Approval Process (MAP) encompasses the forecasting, planning, claims approval, review, release, and lifecycle management of promotional materials through strategic collaboration with commercial, medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) stakeholders. Ensure priorities and resources are in balance, regulatory and Novartis standards are consistently met, and process and content is optimized for continuous improvement. Major Activities: Content Approval Process Excellence - Drive the effectiveness of the Material Approval Process (MAP) through upstream, in-stream, and downstream oversight and collaboration. Lead prioritization activities for key milestones and events to prevent a backlog of materials through the end-to-end process, proactively advising to remove any potential barriers. Share KPI's and metrics with stakeholders and ensure assets submitted to MAP adhere to NVS asset creation guidance, follow the NGE modular content framework, achieve MAP submission content readiness, and facilitation through approval. Ensure efforts are aligned to organizational priorities with increased speed to market. Agile Approval Approach - Collaborate with Brand & MLR teams to understand when claims/messages will be updated/optimized. Drive an agile working team to co-create and "lock in" safety, efficacy, and access messages upstream to drive consistency and reduce MAP effort Drive Shift to Digital - reinforce digital principles of modular content, content optimization, reuse, to drive operational excellence and optimize agility to meet market opportunity Quality Assurance - Ensure adherence to all MAP process requirements. Responsible for communication of key MAP process updates to ensure consistent execution and change adoption across all MAP Teams Continuous Improvement - Lead workstream(s) designed to improve process effectiveness and optimize material lifecycle with alignment to commercial and compliance requirements. Manage increase in MAP submission volume to achieve established operational efficiency targets. Participate in quarterly review of business metrics and performance. Key Performance Indicators: Compliance with all regulatory obligations and Novartis policies Effective operational management aligned to support the business needs Material approval process effectiveness Critical role in the development of high-quality materials to ensure consistency and compliance amongst functional areas (marketing, sales training, Med Ed, etc). Achievement of process optimization metrics and internal customer satisfaction External satisfaction, acceptability of materials by Health Authorities Well managed and effective MAP teams Novartis seen as a credible, ethical and preferred partner Education: BA/BS degree or Equivalent required. Focus in Business, Marketing, Digital Media, or Communications preferred. Languages: Mastery of the English language (written and verbal) Experience/Professional requirement: > 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry and/or digital marketing operations role Prior people leadership a plus, but not required Functional experience in regulatory, medical, marketing operations, sales or communications preferred. Product launch expertise Technical Knowledge/Professional Competencies Working knowledge of FDA and Pharmaceutical regulatory and compliance guidelines on advertising and promotion Pharmaceutical review and approval process acumen Deep understanding of process optimization and asset creation Ability to operate under, and apply, Agile Methodology Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Proficiency in MLR process and systems, including but not limited to Veeva PromoMats, Aprimo Marketing Cloud or similar DAM/workflow and/or other channel execution applications; Drupal, SFMC a plus Leadership/Organizational Skills Aptitude for developing emerging talent into leaders Comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization, including senior leaders Exceptional facilitation skills to drive consensus quickly in a progressive, change intensive environment Risk identification, mitigation, and management skills Strong project and process management Results-oriented ability to deliver under tight deadlines Compensation Range: $95 -103K The range provided is our reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location.
