Description:
The 3D Modeler, Generalist participates in the design, development, testing and troubleshoot of new 3D models and environments. They are also responsible for adding enhancements to existing 3D Visual Databases and creating assets for the moving model library.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Designs and builds 3D synthetic environments for simulators.
o Generates 3D terrain for the Visual Engine with high-quality visuals.
o Creates terrain mask layer, displacement maps and landscapes.
o Creates modeling optimizations for simulation use.
o Creates lighting and environment.
• Solid understanding of rigging and animation in a gaming environment
• Experience in digital art content creation, including simulation ready, high, and low poly modeling, unwrapping, baking, and texturing.
• Proficiency in modern art production within a simulation engine and/or an Unreal engine-based project environment. o Solid understanding of one or several components of Unreal Engine
• Modify and enhance RVT (Real Time Virtual) textures to be used in landscapes.
• Ensure the maintenance of adequate performance and adhere to standards.
Qualifications:
Expert-level proficiency in:
o 3D Studio Max
o Photoshop
o Unreal Engine
o Substance Painter
o Designer or Quixel
o Global mapper (or ArcGIS)
