JOB OBJECTIVES

As Email Marketing Specialist, you will play an integral role in leading our email marketing efforts, a critical component of our retention strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of the technical aspects of email marketing, including list management, segmentation, personalization, and automation, as well as the ability to craft compelling and visually appealing email campaigns. The ideal candidate will have experience with advanced marketing tools like HubSpot or Active Campaign, a strong grasp of HTML and CSS for template creation, and the ability to integrate email marketing efforts with Salesforce. Creativity and a passion for storytelling are essential to designing emails that resonate with our audience and drive conversions.​

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Email Campaign Development & Execution: ​

Design, build, and execute email marketing campaigns that engage and convert, using HTML and CSS to create visually appealing templates.Develop and implement email marketing strategies focused on donor retention, driving engagement, and maximizing lifetime value.Craft compelling email content that tells a story, aligns with Human Appeal’s mission, and encourages recipients to take action.Work closely with the creative and content teams to ensure that all email communications are consistent with brand messaging and visual identity.

List Management & Segmentation: ​

Manage and optimize email lists, ensuring accurate segmentation and targeting to maximize campaign effectiveness.Implement advanced segmentation strategies to deliver personalized and relevant content to different audience segments.Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM) and best practices for email list management and data security.Collaborate with the CRM team to maintain data integrity and ensure seamless integration between email marketing platforms and Salesforce.

Automation & Personalization: ​

Develop and manage automated email workflows and drip campaigns, utilizing tools like HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, or similar platforms.Leverage data and analytics to create personalized email experiences that increase engagement and drive conversions.Continuously test and optimize email automation strategies, including triggers, timing, and content, to improve performance.

Performance Reporting & Optimization: ​

Track, measure, and report on email campaign performance, including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and other key metrics.Use A/B testing and data-driven insights to optimize email content, design, and send strategies for better performance.Regularly update stakeholders on the progress and effectiveness of email campaigns, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.

Salesforce Integration & Collaboration: ​

Work closely with the CRM and IT teams to ensure that email marketing efforts are fully integrated with Salesforce, enabling seamless data flow and comprehensive reporting.Utilize Salesforce data to enhance email targeting, segmentation, and personalization efforts.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the integration of email marketing platforms with Salesforce.

Creative Design & Storytelling: ​

Bring creativity and innovation to email design, ensuring that every communication is visually engaging and emotionally compelling.Develop storytelling techniques that resonate with donors and supporters, enhancing the overall impact of email campaigns.Stay up to date with design trends and email marketing best practices to continuously improve the visual and creative aspects of email campaigns.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

EDUCATION/EXPERTISE:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong emphasis on influencer marketing.Proven track record of successfully managing influencer partnerships and campaigns, ideally within the non-profit sector or for mission-driven organizations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/ETC:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in email marketing, preferably within the non-profit sector or for mission-driven organizationsProven experience with email marketing platforms like HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, or similar tools, including automation and workflow management.Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Additional languages such as Arabic, Urdu, are desirable



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

●Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.

●May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand and walk.

●Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or move light to medium weight up to twelve (12) pounds and/or exert up to twelve (12) pounds of force.

Recovering lost livelihoods for vulnerable farmers in Gaza by planting 80,000 olive trees since 1991. The farming project provides each farmer with 30-40 prime olive trees so they can establish a vibrant, sustainable crop that yields not just food but income for generations.

Restoring safe and secure residential spaces in Syria, like the construction of a new town with 1,000 newly constructed homes in Al Zahoor.
