Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Technical Director to join our team in Las Vegas, NV.

This role involves collaborating with warehouse staff, production assistants, project managers, account executives, clients, and vendors to align technical requirements with the client’s vision, budget, venue constraints, and schedule. This position also coordinates with other departments for event planning, execution, and on-site support.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum of seven (7) years of technical experience in the audio visual and corporate events industry.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a project manager is

Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience is

PREFERRED

.

Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively when needed.

Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Aptitude for thriving in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment.

Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate show schedules.

Readiness to travel as required to support show schedules and business needs.

Proficiency in Vectorworks or CAD is

Possession of an OSHA 30 Card or the ability to obtain one within 15 days of hiring is

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and lead crew on show site; manages the full cycle workflow of events.

Working directly with the client to manage their expectations and alert them to changes in schedule, equipment or budget.

Prepare and communicate preliminary production & labor schedules, project scope, and execution plan to applicable parties.

Oversee development of event layouts, technical designs, engineering plans, wiring diagrams and scenic build drawings based on production requirements.

Collaborate with other stakeholders to assess the technical feasibility of conceptual designs and provide viable solutions while maintaining the integrity of the client’s vision.

Determine and secure resources and/or specialty vendors required for designing complex production elements.

Participate in the evolution of the event design by attending internal and client meetings, creating preliminary show documentation, and responding to questions and/or concerns of other departments or vendors and clients.

Confirm appropriate equipment, technical positions, and production services are included in the proposal based on the production needs of the event.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels of their organization and provide outstanding customer service while focusing on client retention.

Act as the point of contact for technical and logistical needs for all necessary parties during the planning phase.

Detail orders in rental system to ensure that all necessary support components are included in the order.

Source and secure specialty vendors for specialty production elements.

Inform appropriate parties of client’s production standards, preferences, unique requirements, specific requests, and other issues.

Problem solve and trouble shoot onsite technical challenges, design changes and equipment modifications.

Ensure compliance with established technical standards and production standards.

Be the single point of contact onsite for client, technicians, and in-house AV provider(s).

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
