Managed thoughtfully as a purpose driven, premium lifestyle brand, American Girl inspires girls to grow up with courage, confidence & strength of character throughengaging stories,premium products,andimmersive play experiences.The Brand Marketing team is responsible for end-to-end product strategy, including line planning & management, asset development and marketing plans. We develop strong campaigns, all with careful management of the P&L and ensuring financial success. Marketing serves as the connective tissue between other cross functional partners and key stakeholders such as design, development, finance, and our commercial and retail teams.The Opportunity:The Marketing Manager, American Girl, will work closely with the Senior Manager and cross functional teams in product marketing to bring American Girl products to market. This includes product strategy, marketing asset strategy & briefing, and day to day oversight of core toy offerings.What Your Impact Will Be:Business Management :

Synthesize data analysis to achieve financial goals and shape product strategies (set targets, high-level forecasting, consumer insights etc.)Develop product strategy, positioning, consumer communication, product roll out plan, and demand creation plan for key initiatives. Contributor to long range planning for applicable areas.Contributes to company-wide and senior management presentations.Assist in delivering top and bottom-line results including managing product plans, cost savings, product improvement efforts, and inventory management.

Line Planning & Management :

Work closely with the Product Design, Packaging, Development teams to bring innovative and compelling toys to market on time and on budgetManage margin targets and line plans from initiation to completion with cohesive hand off to commercial team.Work closely with promotions and excess inventory managers on planning/timing for product retirements.Manages key product line tools, including internal and external documents.Lead distribution and pricing strategy for applicable lines.Present product strategy framework during key internal and external reviews.

Marketing Strategy and Execution:

Develop marketing strategic framework for applicable lines.Provide brand and product direction in creative brief development and high-profile marketing efforts.Develop demand creation plan and product priorities.

Team Leadership:

Manage 1 team member. Lead and develop staff to deliver business objectives and financials.

What We're Looking For:6+ years (4+ years with MBA) experience in marketing, preferably in product development, or in a retail or consumer driven company.Thorough understanding of marketing mix and KPIsNimble and flexible thinking, ability to quickly learn and apply new ways of thinking.Excellent analytical and project management skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid collaborative relationshipsStrong PowerPoint creation and presentation skills, proficiency in Outlook, Word and ExcelThe annual base salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $145,000.
