Healthcare Design Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities

HDR's Healthcare Design Coordinator will: collaborate on healthcare design projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development; work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives; resolve complex technical and design issues; translate healthcare research into project design/work when requested and where appropriate; assist Project Architect in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination; provide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction; evaluate, select and apply architectural techniques, procedures, and modifications to architectural construction documents; participate, as required, in the construction administration phase of projects with the review of submittals and finish samples; perform architectural assignments with general instruction from the Project Architect or Design Principal regarding the expected results; and assist Project Architects, other Architectural Project/Design Coordinators, and Technicians as needed.

Required QualificationsMaster's Degree in Architecture or a closely related field and 2 years of experience in architecture, or a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a closely related field and 5 years of experience in architecture.Required experience must include 2 years of experience in healthcare projects and experience in: using Revit for healthcare building design; collaborating with local and international teams; conceptual and design development; 2D and 3D drawing; preparing presentation drawings; Drofus; AutoCAD; Photoshop; Illustrator; InDesign; Rhinoceros 3D; and Grasshopper. Experience may have been concurrently.NOTE: All HDR positions in the US may be subject to background checks and/or pre-employment drug testing.
