Job Description

Responsible for supporting the day-to-day marketing needs of Wasserman / The

Montag Group's media and post-career clients by driving client related sales, media, and marketing efforts. This includes paid talent partnerships, high end gifting and digital marketing, as well as participating in new business development efforts. These efforts will consist of prospecting and closing brand partnerships, sales reporting and partnership activation.

This role must sit in New York City and work a hybrid schedule.

Duties :High focus on sales, client service, networking and market research; responsible for prospecting, outbound sales calls and pitchesEstablish brand, agency and media relationships that lead to brand partnerships, barter relationships and high end gifting opportunitiesOversee Sales and Marketing strategy for Wasserman and Montag's media, front office, and coaching clients including the creation of marketing materialsBuild and manage relationships with Montag agents, collaborate on client opportunitiesAssist marketing leadership with managing relationships with existing partners; ensures the client's contracts are fulfilled.Works with Networks and endemic sponsors, to secure content marketing opportunities for clients through brand activations, content development, as well as media alliances.Maintain department databases and generate reports as required, including through Salesforce.Manage incoming queries for clients and provide regular updates to agents and client service representatives.Monitors client activity to keep up to date on client careers.Meets both personal and department annual sales goals set by talent marketing leadershipContribute to partnership development in other sport verticals and with non-Montag clients when applicableRequirements:

Bachelor's degree in related field, preferably in sports management, content, sales, marketing, communications, or public relations.Minimum of 6 years' experience in sports or media sales industry roleMust have advanced knowledge of developments in athlete branding, social media, partnerships, and trends in the sports industry.Must have experience meeting 7-figure revenue goalsPossess persuasiveness skills to successfully negotiate on behalf of the client's interestsPosition requires considerable flexibility in scheduling and the willingness to travel, work nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to prospect and research marketing and media partnerships on behalf of the clientsStrong understanding of social/digital mediaWell-developed communication skills, creative thinking and writing skills.Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skillsRequires self-management and project management abilitiesAbility to build strong, lasting relationships internally and externallyAbility to anticipate problems and manage expectationsAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations. Ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment and significant initiative.

Base salary range: around $135k, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.

Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role
