All applicants must include a resume, cover letter, transcript and their anticipated graduation date when submitting an application. If selected for the internship, you must be able to commit to the full 12 months, and be enrolled with a University or Technical College throughout the length of the internship.

Please Note: We will begin reviewing and prescreening applicants starting on September 10, 2024, and will continue this process through the duration of the Fall Career Fairs we are attending. Communication regarding next steps, including interviews, will begin the week of October 14, 2024.

Hourly Wage:

$16.90 - $18.92

(candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

Description:

The Social Media Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting with multiple marketing initiatives as it relates to overall Marketing Strategies, Key Success Factors, and Corporate Goals for Royal Credit Union. The Intern will provide overall support to the Marketing team through campaign development and assisting with the implementation of our overall Content Strategy and Social Media Strategy through boosting Royal's brand presence and engagement by promoting products and services, and increasing Royal's ROI.

Work Schedule:• Working approximately 15-20 hours per week during the school year and up to 35-40 hours per week during the summer.• Must be able to work onsite at Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI throughout the school year and during breaks. Remote work may be available if certain criteria are met.• This is a limited term, non-benefit eligible, position that will start May 2025 and go through May 2026. If selected for the internship, you must be able to commit to the full 12 months.

Training:

Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.

Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal's culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.Required Education/Experience/Skills:• Enrolled at a University or Technical College throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media, Communications, or similar field.• Understanding of all social media channels, and the differences of each. This is including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.• Ability to work independently.• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.• Strong work ethic• Experience with marketing computer software.• Willingness to learn on the job and share experiences with other members of the team.• Work efficiently in a high volume environment with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.• Communicate and live RCU's core purpose and values, these define and drive our organizational culture.
