24 Seven is partnering with one of their top children's wear clients to help them find an Associate Designer to join their team in Portland, OR for this hybrid position. This is a 4 month contract that starts ASAP.While on contract, you'd be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, and vision.

*Client is open to remote candidates who have baby design experience who are willing to travel to Portland, OR every other month.

The Associate Designer is responsible for overseeing the development of styles for the Baby division and achieving the highest level of quality. This person will be required to work under tight deadlines and is responsible for meeting critical calendar dates.

The Associate Baby Designer will work with the design team to develop each season's product line through research of trends, collaboration with the Design Manager and communication with cross functional partners.

Responsibilities:

• Work with design manager to create seasonally relevant product line for the baby division• Shop appropriate markets and assist manager to conceptualize the product design inclusive of silhouette, color, fabric, print and pattern direction• Work with Designer Manager to create style CADs and manage linesheets• Sketch illustrator flats and create design tech packs for pass off to technical design partners• Manage style BOMs in PLM system• Prepare materials for development: color, fabric and trim cards• Manage artwork submits and sample comments for division• Attend fittings and partner with technical designers• Provide general assistance as needed including but not limited to copying, filing, maintaining library, assembling design boards, and other administrative tasks

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of Apparel Design experience• Excellent eye for color, graphics, print and pattern; able to translate into brand aesthetic• Solution oriented, critical thinker with ability to balance multiple projects and priorities• Adobe Illustrator proficiency, Photoshop and PLM system experience• Awareness of current fashion trends and understanding of the children's wear marketplace• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines• Apparel Design degree or related field of study
