Corporate Marketing & Communications Associate

to join our team in Chicago. Smithbucklin’s Corporate Marketing team is responsible for presenting the company’s brand, messaging, and communications to both external and internal audiences. The team works to connect with potential new client organizations about our services, engage with current and potential employees, interact with the association industry as a whole, and showcase the great and important work that our passionate people do every day to advance the missions of the associations we serve. Plan, write, and execute various internal visual assets for a variety of company communications and projects and ensure proper brand compliance based on target audience, using a tool like Canva or PowerPoint.Manage internal electronic signage creation and delivery based on the corporate calendar of activities.Support executive leadership in the development, organization, facilitation, and deployment of formal and informal PowerPoint presentations.Assist in managing the employee headshot process, including photographer coordination, invites, release forms, file management, photo distribution to employees, and employee profile updates on the company intranet in collaboration with the IT department.Learn and manage testimonial gathering tool for capturing internal video content.Manage and maintain production schedules and communications calendars for various projects, including internal visual-based communication channels.Photograph corporate, Affinity Community, social, and other events for use in internal and external communications channels.Support additional projects as assigned.This Role Might Be for You If…

You exhibit proven interest in marketing and/or visual and written communications skills or functions.You have a strong attention to detail and enjoy creative tasks.You demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills.You have interest in being part of a collaborative team environment that balances independently-led projects and group-oriented projects.Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Liberal Arts or equivalent experience.0-1 year of relevant professional experience in a communication, public relations, and/or marketing department or agency setting.Previous experience in marketing or communications functions like writing articles, social media management, creating PowerPoint presentations and/or promotional materials, etc.Proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications

Related internship experience is highly preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Visual communication skills, artistic inclination, or creative sensibility.Experience using design tools like Canva, Photoshop, and/or InDesign.Experience with or interest in photography.Where Do You Fit?
