WFOX TV Jacksonville is looking for a Broadcast Director who will produce content for newscasts and all digital platforms. Applicants must be comfortable directing in a fast-paced, live television environment and be able to oversee all technical aspects of a live broadcast, across all broadcast platforms. The applicant must be able to adapt quickly to changes and communicate clearly with staff and news management. The individual also must be willing and able to learn how to contribute content to digital platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Direct and TD live broadcasts on a Grass Valley switcher with no automationMaintain the upkeep of production studioOversee and direct content for all digital platformsTransfer elements into Bitcentral for playbackRecognize and be able to troubleshoot problems with Telemetrics, Bitcentral, and ChyronMaintain a positive, cooperative and professional attitude at all times
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 2-year television news experience preferredLive directing and/or switching experience and knowledge of switcher conceptsAbility to sit and direct for long periods, often hours at a time
