POSITION SUMMARYThe Technical Director for Rigaku Semiconductor Metrology Division (RSMD) is to be the leader for the USA RSMD technological group. The Technical Director for RSMD should be a strategist and visionary, able to coordinate all technological interactions with leading semiconductor customers in the USA, where innovation and operational efficiency are critical.This necessitates effectively communicating technical strategies, challenges, and achievements to all relevant stakeholders. It involves translating complex technical concepts into understandable language for non-technical audiences when necessary. This communication is crucial to align technology initiatives with overall business objectives and gain the support of key decision-makers.The Technical Director for RSMD must anticipate market shifts and adjust technological strategies accordingly, often forecasting years ahead.The Technical Director for RSMD will inspire and motivate their team, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence. Their ability to integrate emerging technologies and lead interdisciplinary teams is crucial for the technological advancement of the company.Working closely with product management and engineering teams, the Technical Director for RSMD will ensure that technical strategies align seamlessly with overall business objectives. This collaboration involves refining technical roadmaps to effectively map the development journey ahead. Prioritizing feature development requires a deep understanding of both market needs and technological capabilities. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential Functions:Act as technical content owner for strategic accounts (IDMs, foundry, OEMs, etc.) working closely with account manager(s), sales, and applications.Engage in technical roadmap meetings with key Semiconductor Manufacturers and OEMs (particularly in the US). Establish a technology exchange pipeline outside of demo/sales opportunities.Collaborate with the VP of Technology & Pathfinding, technical owner of collaboration activities (IDMs, foundry, OEMs).Use their technology and market knowledge to help define roadmap and strategic activities in collaboration with the leadership team.Qualifications
