Mid-Level UX Product Designer

Our work is transforming how restaurants operate, making them more efficient and sustainable.What's in it for you:As a key player in our new division, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape its culture and directionImpact the success of our innovative projects and help define the future of our product offeringsExperience the best of both worlds with this team at Ecolab: the agility and creativity of a startup paired with the stability and resources of a global leaderOur collaborative environment fosters innovation while providing the support and security you need to thriveWhat you will do:Be part of a dynamic and growing UX practice that creates digital experiences designed to streamline and enhance our customer and field interactionsDevelop and articulate product design vision to the teams, stakeholders, and external partnersCollaborate daily on a cross-functional team made up of product management, engineering, and business stakeholders, to create high-quality digital solutions, contributing to a shared understanding of business, user, and product goalsIterate product design and features, informed by data and user feedbackPerform design-related activities for digital products, from discovery through finalized design (e.g., problem analysis, concept development, wireframing, information architecture, information design, data visualization, low- and high-fidelity prototype creation, user interface design, visual design, etc .)Participate in and support the planning, facilitating, and participation in a variety of design-related activities, such as collaborative ideation workshops, product reviews, design critiques, etc.Act as an advocate for the design role, encouraging adoption of user-centered design and design thinking methodologies with internal teams and stakeholdersMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field and/or equivalent related work experience5 years of professional experience and an online portfolio that showcases user-centered design processes and fundamental research practicesExperience working on many facets of digital product design lifecycle translating complex user needs, technical constraints, and business goals into thoughtful, effective digital experiencesExperience in designing consumer and business applications, both from the ground up as well as improving upon existing productsExperience in user researchand competitive analysis, and how to synthesize and interpret research data and qualitative feedbackPossess experience in all phases of the design process-from concept generation through final, detailed designNo immigration sponsorship available for this positionPreferred QualificationsExperience in dedicated, collaborative, cross-functional teams, defining product and user experience strategy and direction, in agile/lean environmentsFamiliarity with modern front-end technologies and frameworksFamiliarity with Service Design and UX Design disciplinesExperience and knowledge in of design processes, including methodologies like Process Mapping, User Journey Mapping, User Story Mapping, Wireframing, UI prototyping, User Testing, etc.Experience with industry-standard design and research tools (Figma, Adobe CC, InVision, User Testing, etc...)Experience working with pattern libraries and design systemsStrong communication and organizational skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity while juggling multiple prioritiesFamiliarity with Agile and SAFe methodologies.Experience in user research and user testing activitiesFamiliarity with advocating a User Centric DesignExperience in designing responsive digital products, with a strong focus on mobile, both native and hybridPortfolio InformationIf available, please include a digital link to an online portfolio in the application and/or resume.A trusted partner at nearly three million customer locations, Ecolab (ECL) is a global sustainability leader offering water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people and the resources vital to life.
