Job SummaryLead a multi-functioning unit that supports the College's mission through marketing, communications, advertising, media relations, and special event strategies in order to support the strategic plan, build brand awareness and reputation, and ensure support for enrollment goals. Provide strategic enrollment messages to prospective and current students as well as public information and other materials for students and the public.Essential DutiesProvide strategic leadership and supervises the marketing and communications, media relations, web, and graphics staff.Plan the annual college marketing and communication programs for all internal and external constituencies and ensure a focus on reputation management and successful enrollment support based on goals provided by the college strategic plan.Oversee event planning at the College.Coordinate marketing research and use data to implement strategic marketing initiatives.Maintain a department budget and ensure all activities are strategically aligned with college priorities and stay within the budget.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.Seven or more years of demonstrated strategic counsel in public relations, media relations, advertising and marketing.Supervisory and leadership experience.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.Accredited communications certificate.Experience in higher education.
