Manager, Creative Content

How does the role impact the organization?

This role is responsible for leading the creative, visual, and mixed-media story telling for marketing content and campaigns.

Reporting to the AVP, Content Marketing, you will collaborate within the Canadian and US marketing teams to bring our stories and content to life leveraging the Raymond James Brand.

This important role requires an understanding of wealth management marketing, how to apply brand architecture, and the ability to adapt designs to meet the requirements of different channels and audiences.

What will your role be responsible for?

Content design

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute creative assets in support of content including design, graphics, video, and other forms of mixed media where required.

Develop a deep understanding of business objectives, target audiences, and the marketing and content strategy to deliver compelling designs and visual assets that help deepen advisor and client understanding and engagement with our content.

Apply Raymond James brand standards to all design work adapting as appropriate to the Canadian market or special requirements pertaining to the strategy, audience, region, and accessibility.

Draw on insights provided by marketing to create powerful visual assets that leverage audience insights and connects the audience to the RJL brand.

Adapt and customize design to address the requirements of different distribution channels including our web site, social, and other firm channels.

Contribute to a seamless user experience across all design products.

Collaboration across teams.

Collaborate with marketing colleagues to develop and propose designs in alignment with their strategies.

Iterate on design concepts and drafts with marketing colleagues. Where applicable, apply feedback and insights from business line partners within the firm to the content development process.

Identify and recommend visual or mix media approaches based on analytics and best practices to augment content and work with the content team to finalize the product.

Work with marketing colleagues in the US to remain up to date on brand standards and how to apply them to our marketing products in Canada.

Consult with our advisor marketing design team to build scale and flexibility across the team – ensuring alignment on projects underway and seeking opportunities to leverage each other’s insights and designs.

As required, work with outside consulting firms to lead or direct design projects.

Strategic content focus

As the senior content developer on the team, lead complex content development on projects requiring new value messaging and the ability to ensure messaging alignment and consistency across the firm.

Collaborate with the AVP, Marketing content on the team strategy and lead strategic initiatives on behalf of the team.
