In this role, you will develop, manage, coordinate and implement internal communication and engagement strategies that support the key priorities of the organization, with focus on elevating and supporting clinicians and the medical groups. Working in partnership with clinical and operations leaders across the system, provides strategic communication counsel and solutions to support clinical operations, population health initiatives, clinician engagement and growth, in alignment with advancing our brand reputation. Works collaboratively across the Marketing Communications and Consumer Experience function to ensure an integrated approach. Works closely with Communications and Marketing Operations teams to develop and execute system physician/clinician strategies locally. Highly focused on creating alignment in strategy and approach across the system. Requires frequent independent and high-level communication with senior operations and clinical leaders.

This is a remote first position.

Major Responsibilities:Develops and manages internal communication and engagement strategies focused on clinicians and operations to support organizational priorities and goals.Initiates, develops and implements effective, strategic communications plans that drive engagement, growth and other key results. Plans, directs and organizes content to elevate physicians/clinicians and key service lines across Advocate Health including system wide publications, media, health e-news, social media, etc. Researches, writes and edits content. Oversees design and printing, production process and distribution of communications.Works with media team, managing system-wide strategy and assisting with site/regional deployment; produces media materials and proactive media pitches to help elevate system profile and physician/provider profile on a local and national level. Meets regularly with key individuals involved with system initiatives to keep abreast of new developments requiring internal and external promotion and support.Assists with copy editing and proofreading to assure appropriate content and compliance with system's graphic standards, style and editorial guidelines. Provides strategic, proactive communication counsel and solutions.Manages the strategic communications needs of the system by providing appropriate counsel and comprehensive solutions that align with system goals. In coordination with senior leader, regularly assesses the strategic communication priorities of the system.Works closely with site leaders to ensure broad communication occurs surrounding various system wide events and initiatives.Drives collaboration and integration among leaders, team members, clinicians, etc. Facilitates integration across divisions and teams to create the best work product and results. Serves as subject matter expert on teams and task forces to ensure alignment in approach and messaging.Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field.Experience Required:

Typically requires 7 years of experience in public relations/communications, including a minimum of 3 years agency experience, as well as managing public relations/communications programs.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Advanced understanding of the field of public relations/communications with the ability to leverage experience and best practices to train others.Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.Ability to guide others in resolving complex public relations/communications issues.Solves complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought and judgment to identify innovation solutions.Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to effectively counsel senior leadership on public relations/communications opportunitiesDemonstrated experience writing various complex news releases, alerts, briefing documents and other materials.Excellent public speaking skills and the ability to express thoughts clearly and concisely. Experience with writing for traditional and social media.Demonstrated experience effectively leading a variety of public relations/communications projects including planning, executing and evaluating project results.Ability to effectively research media-related topics.Ability to drive and/or travel to work-related functions/meetings.Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), or similar products.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
