The South Bend Cubs are the High-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Over the past 35 seasons, the team has won five Midwest League titles, most recently in 2022, and captured nine division titles. In 2023, the organization was selected as the Single-A Bob Freitas Award recipient by Baseball America. Four Winds Field, home of the South Bend Cubs, was voted Best High-A ballpark in the country by Ballpark Digest in 2022 and 2023, having also won the award as a Low-A ballpark in 2017. The team recently broke ground on a 48-million-dollar stadium renovation.

The South Bend Cubs are one of the gold standards in minor league baseball and our organization is looking to hire an experienced Social Media Manager who can actively engage our fans while increasing our brand reach. This position would also engage our community through a variety of programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist with the planning and execution of team social media plan (Tik Tok focus + Facebook, X, Instagram)Assist in planning and execution of South Bend Cubs community programs (including but not limited to kids club, reading club, and baseball academy)Assist in fulfilling all donation requests in a timely manner and update donation inventoryWork with local partners in expanding Copa de la Diversion program (Los Cabritos Maldichos)Assist with sponsorship proof of performance (proof of execution)Coordinate mascot & player community appearances, be available as a mascot handler/mascot for community eventsMaintain promotions room, including props and gamesAssist in planning and coordinating theme nightsProduce and send team newsletter semiweekly (twice a week during homestand, once a week on road)Manage stat driven social media posts on game-dayExperience / Qualifications Required:

Strong communication skills and superior customer service abilitiesCollege degree preferredTwo years or more managing social media platformsAbility to handle multiple tasksProficiency in basic software programs (Microsoft Office, etc.)Ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends, and holidaysHave own dependable vehicle and transportationExperience with CrowdConnect or other newsletter platform preferred.
