Position Information

The Division of Strategic Communications and Marketing (SCM) invites resumes for a full-time, regular exempt position. The position will report to the Vice President for Strategic Communications and Marketing (VPSCM). Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the VPSCM in establishing and evaluating an integrated marketing strategy and plan.Serve as project coordinator for major marketing events and initiatives.Communicate campaign deliverables, objectives and timelines while providing instructions for promotion or use.Design and support enrollment marketing campaign efforts.Plan and manage marketing efforts for college fairs, conferences, events and meetings.Maintain an inventory and directory of fresh marketing materials while coordinating new material creation as needed.Design and develop various types of marketing deliverables, including social media posts, blog posts and print materials.Monitor and analyzing metrics to track the success of marketing campaigns.Advise and coordinate tasks outsourced to external vendors, such as printing companies.Act as a liaison between customers, designers and developers.Support the VPSCM through written, graphic design, photographic, and video content creation.Perform other related duties as assigned.Classification27-0000 Arts, Design, Entertainment, Sports, and Media Occupations

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field.Minimum of one year of progressively responsible marketing experience.Experience in and knowledge of Web and marketing analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and AdWords.Ability to adapt to change in the digital landscape.Preferred Qualifications

Experience in marketing, public relations, communications, or journalism.Experience with digital photography and videography.Experience with Adobe Photoshop.Experience with Adobe software programs.Experience working in higher education, and HBCUs.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Proven ability to manage events and develop support strategies and materials.Excellent people skills and ability to work in a student-centered, team-oriented environment.Strong project management and communication skills.Must be able to work and perform with deadlines.Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
