You’ll partner with Marketing and Product team members to develop and implement new strategies—and improve upon existing ones.You will also be hands-on with our email operations, building effective automated programs and ad-hoc emails, and improving our internal workflows. And, you’ll manage a team of email marketing specialists.The ideal candidate is creative, analytical, proactive, a strong communicator, organized, and passionate about IXL’s mission to impact education.This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA headquarters office.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Own the development and execution of email marketing programs for IXLIdentify strategic opportunities for growth and retention. This includes but is not limited to lead generation, lead nurture, engagement, onboarding, upsell, re-engagement, and transactional emailsOptimize our email marketing processes, including campaign development, email design, segmentation, personalization, and moreMonitor analytics and conduct A/B testing to refine our email strategyEnsure success of email execution, QA, deliverability, and maintenance of our database; assist with deployment of emails as neededCollaborate with various teams, including Marketing, Sales, Product, Design, and Engineering, to develop and execute campaigns and automation projectsManage and mentor a team of email marketing specialistsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
7+ years of email/CRM marketing experience; must include experience with SaaS or subscription-based services. Experience with both B2B and B2C marketing is a plus2+ years experience with managing, coaching, and motivating teamsMust have strong experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud from top to bottom, including building triggered email programs, managing lists, executing email sends, and more. Experience with Acoustic is a plus.High level of comfort working with engineers and product managers; SQL experience preferredStrategic thinking: You are able to consider an idea from all angles, ask smart questions, and make thoughtful decisions that align with company needs and valuesYou get things done: You’re a self-starter, organized, resourceful, and have the ability to manage projects from start to finishYou care about the details: You have an eye for design, a good instinct for what email content will resonate with consumers, and triple-check every email before it’s sentYou have excellent interpersonal skills: You’re a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to work cross-functionallyABOUT IXL LEARNING IXL Learning is the country's largest EdTech company.
