JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.SAir Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech IIJT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges
JOB SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Working under general supervision, a Designer II prepares designs and working drawings for mechanical and electronic system components, which impact on the adequacy of designs, safety, economy, efficiency, function and sizes of components to be installed in a wide range of system typesEmployee works on portions of larger designs as assigned by higher-level designersEmployee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:• Prepare semi-complex electronic and/or mechanical designs and drawings following general instructions, notes, or sketches, which includes tasks such as designing/preparing complex dense multi-layer analog and digital printed circuit board (PCB) layouts, schematics, database (dB) component configuration, and integrated electrical manufacturing (EM) packaging• Conduct searches for parts, utilizing engineering and vendor data, and prepare associated parts lists• Provide reverse engineering of complex aerospace parts, ground support equipment, and radio frequency (RF) system sub-assemblies, and make recommendations to specific design requirements• Perform basic engineering calculations and make 3-D models to support design effort• Prepare supporting documentation to clarify completeness, dimensional accuracy, and conformity to standards• Research technical publications related process, materials, finishes, and standard design practices• Conduct design assignments with modeling Computer-aided design (CAD) software and/or schematic capture electric design automation (EDA) routers and computer equipment• Prepare work packages and assist in the development of department standards• May provide work direction to lower-level department personnel• Perform other job-related duties, as requiredDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Government/Military experience• GD&T background• 3-D printer usage and design REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE A bachelor's degree is preferredA two-year technical degree in design, drafting, or an engineering field and 6 years of design experience are required for this positionDesign experience can be a combination of direct design experience, advance design drafting, or schoolingIn addition, a Designer II must possess the following qualifications:• Familiar with non-standard metric design and tolerance• Effective verbal and written communication skills• Planning/organizational skills• Ability to work under deadlinesSALARY The expected salary range for this position is $62,400 to $72,800 annuallyNote: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will payJT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offerBENEFITS• Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance• Benefits Active on Day 1• Life Insurance• Health Savings Accounts/FSA's• Disability Insurance• Paid Time Off• 401(k) Plan Options with Employer Match• JT4 will match 50%, up to an 8% contribution• 100% Immediate Vesting• Tuition Reimbursement
