WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Within this role the candidate will be a senior finance voice within the North American business. You will be the primary point of contact for our North America relationships, and their direct reports who manage Sales, Publishing, Marketing. This role reports into SVP, Finance & Accounting based in London and oversees all operational finance, local reporting and tax compliance.

THE ROLE

Manage and perform all North American accounting functions including transactions posting, customer billing, A/R, A/P, GL postings, cost accounting, and revenue recognitionReconciliation of balance sheet, P&L and all intercompany rechargesProduce monthly financial statements, perform variance analysis and provide commentariesOversee tax functions for the US and Canada liaising with our external tax accountants and ensuring all necessary tax filings are completed on timeProduction of year-end audit files for both US and Canadian companies and support head office and parent company with the statutory auditEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements and financial reports filingsMaintain internal control processes and ensure the system and processes are efficient operating and utilized within the companyManage relationships with bankers, auditors, and tax authoritiesLead monthly account reviews for US and Canada, working with the Financial Controller to ensure management accounts and reporting supports overall reporting visionSupport Group HR team with monthly payroll processing when neededProvide ad hoc operational support for the office and HROther Areas

Administration on submitting WHT claims on foreign salesLiaise closely with the sales team supporting customer onboardingBe the main contact for local sales team to address sales finance operational queriesOversee, support and mentor a direct report performing AR functionSupport head office on FP&A tasks relating to budgeting and reportingYour Experience

3+ years of relevant experience. CPA preferred but not essentialExperience using SAP Business One, Concur and Salesforce would be beneficialStrong Excel and analytical skillsA self-starter with good people management experienceAble to meet tight timeframes and be highly organizedPrevious experience working for an international business with great attention to internal and external customer service is preferredSPECIAL SKILLS
