***We are building our talent pipeline for future opportunities in this role.***The primary role of an Art Director at Buddha Jones is to help solve problems creatively through design. The Art Director creates animated graphics, visual effects, and immersive visual stories for theatrical andtv/streaming campaigns. We are seeking a candidate with an emphasis on both conceptualization for impactful visual experiences across large and small screens, as well as the ability to work comfortably in a highly collaborative creative environment.Skills RequiredAbility to pitch ideas to producers and clients that will inspireEnthusiasm toward contributing to a talented and diverse teamComfortable adapting schedules and expectations in fast-paced, unpredictable environmentAdvanced knowledge of animation, compositing, and production within After Effects3D lighting, texturing, look development, camera, animation, and modeling within Cinema 4D workflowFamiliarity with motion graphics/entertainment advertising industry and conventionsElevated design sensibility with ability to execute as well as guide junior team member contributionsStorytelling/conceptual skills with an understanding of film archetypes and historyPrimary ResponsibilitiesArt-direct various projects on a daily basis, leading some on your own.Design and pitch creative ideas for any genre/formatContribute to creative from concept through finishCollaborate with Motion Graphics Creative Directors, supporting larger projects as needed.Communicate directly with producers and manage deadlines/expectations accordinglySecondary ResponsibilitiesMentorship of less experienced talent to grow into better designers, animators, art directorsIn-depth knowledge of offline/online finishing process, including non-traditional formats and stereoscopic 3D productionCompensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience.
