Music education catapults a child's learning to new heights, and because of this, it should always be considered a pivotal part of a child's educational process. When kids participate in musical theater, they can focus on their creativity through music, movement, and artistry. This allows kids to learn valuable skills like vocal technique and dance choreography that will help them later in life when auditioning for school plays or other extracurricular activities.Reports to:

PrincipalQualifications:Knowledge of music and music instructionKnowledge of legal process with securing rights to a showKnowledge of financing a productionResponsibilities:Organizing a group of colleagues or staffOrganizing a group of studentsHolding meetings for student groupsDirecting/conducting public performancesOrganizing transportationManaging budget requestsBooking venuesCoordinating schedules with adults and studentsFielding questions and serving as liaison for the musical team to the RSU 21 familiesEnsuring performances abide by legal/copyright requirementsTeaching musicHiring pit musiciansHandling finances from ticket salesMarketing productionsFundraising eventsCoordinating merchandise sales for the productionCore Competencies:Student-centered:
