Our firm is currently seeking a

Director of Marketing and Communications

to lead its talented marketing and communications department. The candidate must be an excellent communicator, collaborative leader, strategic-thinker, and detail-oriented. It is critical that this team member also possesses strong time-management skills and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of marketing and communication experience, and familiarity with public sector clients (i.e., school districts, cities, counties, universities, etc.) and/or referendum campaigns. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is required.

Responsibilities

Oversee and guide the entire marketing and communications department, with day-to-day oversight of a growing six-to-eight-person team.

Develop and manage marketing plan and budget, working closely with firm leadership to align strategies with firm goals.

Provide strategy and content direction for all Bray-focused marketing efforts.

Facilitate monthly and quarterly strategy meetings/workshops.

Work closely with Client Communication Manager to implement and maintain client-focused communication, strategies, and initiatives.

Assist as a communication liaison between clients and internal architectural and interior design teams.

Support leadership with public outreach and media relations.

Work with leadership and business development to review pursuit opportunities and develop proposal strategies.

Provide oversight of process for client interview/presentation preparation and attend client interviews as requested.

Attend client events such as groundbreakings, open houses, ribbon cuttings, etc. as requested.

Support the development, distribution, and analysis of client surveys.

Ensure all materials support the firm’s strategic goals and brand identity and consider intended use and audience.

Review and analyze marketing activity reports related to referendum campaigns and results, active pursuits, and win/loss results.

Lead integration efforts, new market pursuits, and internal and external communications for potential mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, or related field.

A minimum of 8 years of experience in branding, marketing, and communications.

A minimum of five years in a managerial or leadership role.

Advanced verbal and written communication and editing skills.

Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), Microsoft Office, and Outlook.

Architecture/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) industry familiarity (Preferred).

Marketing experience for professional services, and knowledge of K-12 market and referendum campaigns (Preferred).
