Please read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.As an Associate Producer, you will work directly with producers to assist in all aspects of the Licensing and Syndication of NBC News longform content.Responsibilities :Organize media for editWork with post-production team, creating files of library episodes for dubbing to additional languagesPrepare scripts for translation, checking for accuracyResearch and fact-check story details in existing showsParticipate in the scripting of legal and/or story updatesParticipate in shooting and editing as directedCoordinate with technical, operations staff and external resourcesResearch and procure archival footage for story updatesScreen episodes for quality controlUpdate scripts and archival recordsCreate Music Cue SheetsBasic Qualifications :Must have at least 2 years of editorial production experience in long form programming for network or cable operationsMust have a Bachelor’s degreeMust be bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and EnglishAbility to learn a variety of apps/programs quickly – such as INEWS, Airtable, and Media CentralDesired Characteristics :Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and PracticesDemonstrated strong knowledge and interest in true crime, news and current eventsStrong journalistic writing skills, research skills, and editorial judgmentStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize assignmentsAbility to communicate well with the team on the story as well as your managerAbility to edit with non-linear editing systems especially Avid a plus, but not necessaryAdditional Job Requirements :Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through nbcunicareers.com to be consideredMust be willing to work in New York, NYHybrid:
