will help shape the long-term category vision and key strategic initiatives for the Recipe Mix Category, for brands including McCormick, Cholula and Lawry’s. Scope includes category strategy development, insights and positioning, brand experience choices and communications recommendations. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to identify, develop and ready commercialization of capability-building and category growth opportunities aligned with operating plans. Manage and develop up to 2 direct reports.RESPONSIBILITIESDISCOVERY: Identification of category & brand opportunities that expand our portfolioDiversify portfolio through thoughtful consumer insights, thorough competitive and market analyses and deep understanding of emerging trendsIdentify needs for initiative WHO targets. Use insights to develop breakthrough ideas that deliver the defined initiative business objective and delight our target consumer.Partner with Consumer and Market Insights to ensure connectivity to consumer needs.Develop, write, test and optimize consumer and shopper-based concepts that capture a promise, resolving an unmet need. Ascertain & size business opportunities.Lead and influence evolution of 5 year product pipeline and funnel within company’s strategic priorities that support equity choices for the brand/categoryMine secondary landscape & consumer category segmentation to identify insightsDEFINE PROPOSITION: Identify assumptions and needs to build profitable propositionsDevelop business platforms to enable delivery of annual budget and strategic planLead multi-faceted iterative workstreams to validate, assess and prepare projects for commercialization in partnership with cross-functional partnersLead new product business case development, financial forecasting, supply chain, pricing, P&L structure and recommended in-market execution.Generate breakthrough ideas that inspire to enable technical advantages while exceeding our consumers’ wants & needsCREATE GROWTH: Bring platforms forward into commercializationBuild, shape & deliver new propositions, partnering with respective functional experts:

R&D: Develop product and package structureSales: Support customer trade plan and sell-in strategy developmentManufacturing: Enable supply chain to deliver outstanding customer serviceGlobal Marketing: Create packaging graphics that build and enhance brand equityFinance: Identify assumptions to bring margin accretive opportunities forward

Utilize commercialization process to ready projects for commercialization and launch.Develop and recommend launch and on-going Consumer and Trade support plansREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in marketing or related discipline required,Minimum of 5 years required of demonstrated relevant skills & results in consumer-packaged goods marketing, brand planning, building and running brand business, advertising, finance, promotional activities and consumer communications.Demonstrated success creating and launching new products/categories requiredManagement and development of direct reports requiredStrong leadership, strategic thinking, communication and teamwork skills requiredStrong analytical and leadership experience with ability to manage multiple projects requiredExpertise in syndicated databases, market research, business & brand planning, advertising, finance, promotional activities and consumer communications requiredExperience leading cross-function teams preferredPassion for food/culinary knowledge, including experience building brands within the food industry preferredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMBAMcCormick & Company is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
