Our Studio Operations team is the “air traffic control” pillar of the Content Production team, owning all operational responsibilities of our in-house photo & video studios for Marketing.Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Studio Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage the daily operations of our Los Angeles studio, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently. You will assist with everything from opening and closing the studio to managing vendor relationships, equipment requests, and event coordination. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and the ability to collaborate across various departments to support all production needs.Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations:

Manage the daily operations of the studio, including opening and closing on a flexible schedule. Oversee compliant access, security, and safety protocols for the building.Safety Procedures:

Ensure proper safety procedures are followed during equipment rigging and the use of high-power lighting, adhering to industry best practices.Equipment Management:

Manage equipment inventory, oversee equipment repairs, assist with product inventory management, manage communication and invoicing with studio vendors, support the studio budget process, and utilize the studio check-in and check-out software.Facilities Coordination:

Supervise requests and needs from the Facilities team related to day-to-day studio and building maintenance. Act as the key liaison to the onsite security team.Event Support:

Support and manage in-house events, including influencer gatherings, executive offsites, and internal celebrations hosted at the LA studio.Payroll and Contracts:

Support the studio’s payroll process and assist with the uploading of talent and crew contracts.Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners such as Facilities, Internal Control, Marketing, Social, Creative, Production, Post-Production, Budgets & Business Affairs.Industry Trends:

Stay up to date on industry trends and research new equipment and studio best practices to keep the studio on par with current standards.Qualifications & Skills:

5+ years of experience in a studio or rental house environment.Experience with grip and lighting and/or video equipment.Customer service experience, with an emphasis on handling client relationships and coordinating with vendors.Experience in managing equipment inventory, including tracking, organizing, and maintenance.Strong understanding of video & print production as well as post-production processes.Fundamental understanding of payroll processing for film productions.Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficiency in relevant equipment software and the ability to quickly learn new tools.Strong understanding of inventory management and maintenance.Ability to work cross-departmentally and collaborate with various teams.Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and adapt to changing production needs.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Self-motivated and detail-oriented.Working Conditions:

The role requires the physical ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.This position operates in a work environment that includes both office and studio spaces.Environmental conditions include working in an active studio environment (photo & video sets, EQ rooms, production stages, etc.).This role requires a flexible schedule based on the studio hours of operations and business priorities of our shoots. Occasional early and evening hours may be required.Occasional travel may be required for company offsites, events, or production-related activities.The annual base salary range for this position is $102,000.00 - $114,855.00. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
