The TikTok UX team is responsible for creator product design for the TikTok app. With our key vertical ownership areas including creator tools, monetization, traffic & growth, OGC, and TV. The team provides specialized design methodologies and practices to help creators improve their authoring experience and efficiency.
We are looking for designers with passion and ideas for video products and full-stack capabilities. You will work, learn and grow in an internationalized corporate environment and culture. You will be involved in the whole chain process of product design and development, starting from a product idea, exploring and iterating the design, tracking and reviewing the effect of the project on-line, and taking responsibility for the experience of global users.
Responsibilities:
- Design for TikTok PGC, the creative short video platform targeting global users;
- Work with cross functional teams, including product managers, researchers, UX writers and engineers;
- Get involved in every aspect of the product development process, from ideas to pixel perfecting before launch;
- Prototype rapidly based on conceptual product ideas, design user flows based on data analysis and user research, get feedback from different stakeholders, reiterate designs, and ship products with the best user experience;
- Continuously optimize and be responsible for overall product experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with UX and UI design, has led multiple design projects from strategy to launch, strong attention to detail;
- Ability to rapidly iterate and produce a multitude of concepts;
- Open-minded, welcome all feedback and be patient;
- Entrepreneurial attitude, ability to deal with rapid changes and situations that are not ideal;
- Great communication skills, ability to articulate your concepts, vision and decision-making;
- A global vision and mentality actively pays attention to global internet products;
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years designing UX products across mobile, web, TV. preferably content creation or consumption related;
- Experience with A/B testing and data driven practice;
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across the org;
- Have front-end programming and animation skills;
- Optimistic and positive, adaptable to the fast pace of work, a passion and enthusiasm for TikTok and its video creations!
