Job Description:

The Director of Marketing leads the revenue marketing efforts across all practice groups and industries. Working closely with the Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer (CBDMO) and department leaders, this role creates and implements measurable marketing plans focused on brand growth and increasing demand across all areas. The Director of Marketing prioritizes leading, developing and bringing innovation and creativity to our content and event marketing campaigns from ideation to performance and across all channels.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with the CBDMO, Global Director of Brand and Communications, Business Development Directors, sales enablement leaders and partners, and to serves as a strategic peer and collaborator on positioning and promoting key services, campaigns, and events to drive demand, growth and loyalty.
  • Leads a team focused on building an innovative, creative and client-centric marketing program for the practices, industries, and international regions in the firm that nurtures both clients and targets.
  • Deploys a data driven and tech-enabled approach to execute and evaluate all campaigns and marketing programs while delivering qualified leads to business development teams and partners.
  • Collaborates with leadership to optimize events and sponsorship investments, a key go-to-market strategy of the firm.
  • Works closely with the business development team to build client growth and loyalty through account-based marketing plans for key clients.
  • Develops and executeruns a thoughtful budget and marketing planning process focused on ROI and growth and in alignment with the strategies of the department and firm.
  • Brings new and innovative ideas related to brands, events, campaigns, content development, digital marketing, data analytics, effective technology and Generative AI.
  • Focuses on developing a best-in-class team including ensuring skills and capabilities meet the needs of the department and firm, determining career paths, defining professional development goals, and providing coaching and training.
  • Requires and in-depth knowledge of and success in marketing strategy, market analysis and segmentation, brand and service positioning, personas, client journey mapping, marketing automation, and the development of thought leadership campaigns and sophisticated event marketing campaigns to support relationship development and engagement.

Target Hiring Range $224,000 - $352,000

Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Specifications:
  • At least twenty (20) years of experience
  • Experience in a senior marketing role.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, preferably within management consulting, big four accounting, or global law firms.
  • In-depth knowledge of and success in marketing strategy, market analysis and segmentation, brand and service positioning, personas, client journey mapping, marketing automation, and the development of thought leadership campaigns and sophisticated event marketing campaigns to support relationship development and engagement.
  • Strong expertise in campaign management, demand generation, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in using marketing technology and data analytics to drive decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and growth.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Adaptability to changing market conditions and business needs.
  • MBA preferred
