Associate Director, Media

Are you looking for a new challenge within today's rapidly evolving media landscape - to grow faster, learn more and be seen and heard as a valuable team member? Do you jump at the chance to explore unknown territory & create novel solutions to brand challenges? Do you want to work for an agency leading the way, with new approaches to media planning and buying, grounded with data and analytics, that are helping our clients with a blueprint on how to succeed and grow? Then we're looking for you to join our growing Media team!

At Allen & Gerritsen, we do media differently. We are fascinated by audiences & how they engage with the world around them. We think analytically, insisting we understand our intended outcomes first & then creating a plan that can achieve them. Our team comes from a variety of agency backgrounds, but we're all here at A&G because of the people-first culture & the consistent opportunities to make your mark and produce great work.

Of course we navigate all of the traditional elements of media planning: reach and frequency, targeting efficiency, value, and so on. What differentiates this team is our deeper understanding of our audiences' emotional relationships with their media environments, and how those can affect the impact of a message delivered there, for better or worse. We call it Humanity Planning, and it helps us craft better, smarter, and more effective integrated media plans for our clients.

This role offers you a chance to grow your existing skills but continue to learn within a fully integrated agency, all with a unique approach to planning. Your ideas will be valued, and encouraged. You'll be an integral part of an amazingly talented team, not someone siloed into one responsibility every day. From social media and search, to TV and out-of-home, to unique content partnerships and beyond. We're a full-service, independent ad agency, so expect ample exposure to other key disciplines such as creative, analytics, public relations, & brand strategy.

Please note that this role requires a minimum of 6 years of full-time agency, publisher, or client-side in-house media planning and buying experience.

This role offers hybrid working conditions but is not fully remote. Please only apply if you can travel to downtown Boston in the foreseeable future.
