Implements communication to effectively describe and promote The Salvation Army.

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.Create, produce, and manage high quality content for territorial website targeted to members of The Salvation Army in the MidwestCoordinate and manage digital media channels for Central Connection such as Facebook, Instagram, and TwitterCollaborate as needed to affect design and functionality of website, maximizing ability, and ensuring a user-friendly presenceIdentify and develop viable stories for printed version of Central Connection from other Then Salvation Army websites and Facebook pagesWrite, edit, and proof articles for The Salvation Army publications, especially Central ConnectionReport on events for Salvation Army publicationsCurate and provide quality images (size, composition, etc.) in support of territorial, divisional, or national publications and projectsContribute to Teams group for Salvationist writers in Central Territory to inform, inspire and equip them in the ministry of writing and to further develop a fellowship of writersAssist with planning, coordination, and production of Territorial Writers' ConferenceAssist with special projects, reports and other assignments as given by Editorial Director.

Minimum Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.

Education & CertificationBA in journalism, communications, or similar relevant fieldExperience:Five years of work-related experience
