Overview

Job PurposeIntercontinental Exchange is seeking a Motion Graphics Designer/Animator to join its dynamic, visionary, creative services team.This talented individual is a seasoned creative that will execute designs for a wide range of marketing campaigns, and digital initiatives. The right candidate will coordinate with our designers and videographer on ongoing projects, possess great attention to detail, and be able to successfully meet deadlines. The Motion Graphics Designer will have the ability to articulate creative concepts to develop high-quality content that support and enhance the Intercontinental Exchange and NYSE brands.The ideal candidate will be an experienced animator with a portfolio that reflect his/her expertise in motion design, graphics and visual problem solving. Intercontinental Exchange adopts a digital-first mindset, as such we are looking for a candidate that is well versed in the capabilities and limitations of digital channels and have the ability to quickly learn, adopt new tools and trends, and is always looking to evolve. This position reports to the lead motion graphics artist.

ResponsibilitiesServe as designer on motion graphics, video and animation projectsAbility to develop creative that allow for a consistent brand experience across all deliverables, such as video storyboards, animated content, motion graphics that support and enhance video footage, etc.Juggle multiple projects and being able to consistently deliver high-quality creativeManage projects from concept to completion and ensure translation of marketing objectives into strategic creative executionsApproach work with an open and creative mindset; always looking to improve and evolveDemonstrate a clear understanding of the Intercontinental Exchange and NYSE brands and maintain their integrity through creative developmentKnowledge and ExperienceBachelors' Degree required (Fine Arts, Advertising or another related field)3-5 years' experience in design applied to motion graphics and video projects in support of integrated marketing communications programsMinimum of 3-5 years proven experience in a Motion Graphics Designer roleHigh proficiency with current motion design software and tools. Including Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro)Working knowledge of Cinema 4D and other 3D programsExperience working in a corporate environmentExperience with AI video and image toolsStrong conceptual thinker and creative problem solverAbility to storyboard/sketch or translate ideas to design team to spark further idea generation and collaborationAbility to translate complex ideas and data into infographics, using motion and video to further communicateCollaborative approach/mindsetAttention to detail and a focus on quality is a mustUnderstanding of, and ability to design for, current social media platformsExpert knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, possibilities and limitations of mediaOrganizational skills: Ability to prioritize assignments, and work successfully in a deadline driven environmentScheduleThis role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.New York Base Salary RangeThe expected base salary for this role if located in New York City is between 72,100 - 97,900. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation.
