ScopeThis position serves as a senior expediting lead who expedites critical project material within established Material Management Plans, policies, and procedures with guidance from a Material Manager.

Basic Job Requirements

Principal Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesServe as project member in the formulation of plans and the execution of the overall material management activity and/or assist in the planning and execution of specialized Material Management activities in expediting for the projectManage the expediting work process and reports the material management status of purchased material and equipment from the time of purchase through receipt at assigned points of useResponsible for the implementation, management, and monitoring of the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to meet project requirements and schedulePerform supervisory responsibilities as appropriateReview and action planning reports to appropriate persons for follow-up to support Fabrication or ConstructionMaintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibilityTypically manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedbackLeverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locationsAnalyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of actionOrganize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlinesMaintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standardsAdhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability PoliciesEffectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the jobMay need to travel to attend to business related mattersMeet expectations on attendance and punctualityOther duties as assigned

Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen (14) years if non-degreedAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholdersJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in EPCM industry with capital projectsLump Sum and Module Fabrication experience preferredExperience with Fluor processes, procedures and systemsExperience in dealing with global vendors (outside US)Ability to communicate fluently in English (read, write, and speak)Working toward applicable professional certification(s) or license(s)Experience should be primarily in the area of material managementExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent computer literacy and skillsGood leadership and decision-making skills

ExpeditingCreate and instigate Project expediting plans, strategies, controls, and schedulesManage the Project Expediting Teams, and coordinate between work share officesConduct periodic visits to suppliers in order to ensure successful executionIssue, maintain, update, and distribute documents governing the performance and development of Expediting, including, but not limited to, practices, work instructions, proceduresManage the performance of Expeditors assigned to the Project
