JOB SUMMARY:

The Design & NextGen Newbuilds Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all design aspects of Oceania and Regent Newbuilds and Hotel Design, ensuring alignment with the brand vision and guidelines. This leadership role involves guiding the creative process to meet brand expectations, managing the Owner Supply process, and ensuring timely execution of all deliverables.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and oversee the quality control of design outputs from architects, ensuring alignment with the brand's vision. Provide constructive feedback to enhance designs as needed.Work closely with quality managers to review architects' specifications and related drawings, ensuring that all designs meet brand standards and specifications.Organize and lead practicality reviews with Hotel Operations, ensuring that operational risks and accessibility concerns are fully considered. Periodically review with all stakeholders to ensure compliance.Liaise with the Supply Chain team, providing assistance in all relevant processes. Monitor production timelines closely to ensure timely delivery of furniture items via regular supply chain channels, avoiding air freight whenever possible.Facilitate and lead meetings with key stakeholders, including Management, Hotel Operations, Casino, Entertainment, and Onboard Revenue teams, to gather feedback and review deliverables provided by architects.Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to manage mockup reviews, factory visits, and inspections during the newbuilding process, ensuring that quality and comfort meet brand expectations.Conduct research and stay informed on industry and land-based trends for newbuilds.Provide recommendations for future design implementations based on findings.Perform other job-related functions as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE:

Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY:

In architecture, Interior Design or any equivalent combination of relevant background and experience

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in design industry experience required.Minimum of 3 years' experience managing large scale projects in the cruise ship industry.COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).Strong proficiency with computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Auto CAD).Must be highly motivated and possess a high degree of organizational skills, flexibility, and confidentiality.Able to build and maintain relationships across different levels of staff and management.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and have knowledge of interior design for cruise ships (staterooms and/or crew areas preferred).Must be able to effectively communicate strategic vision and plans across various project teams and stakeholders when required.Knowledge pertaining to USPH, SOLAS and ADA requirements.Travel up to 30% required.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

Interior design license preferred.
