Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Overview: The CT&I Learning and Design Manager is qualified to support all aspects of professional development but is largely responsible for the design, development, and evaluation of innovative and engaging learning programs that cater to a wide range of learning experiences. These programs support the initiatives, products, and features of the Care Transformation and Innovation (CT&I) team and its stakeholders. This role involves close collaboration with the interprofessional team to identify gaps in knowledge and understanding, as well as to provide training activities and materials to build competencies necessary for CT&I projects. By designing and developing targeted training programs, the Learning and Design Manager helps to bridge these gaps and enhance team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development: Lead the creation of creative and impactful learning programs, utilizing various instructional design methodologies to meet the needs of the CT&I team and its stakeholders. Ensure that programs are aligned with the strategic objectives of CT&I and offer diverse learning experiences.

Program Implementation and Evaluation: Supports the IPC&E team in assessing the effectiveness of learning programs, using data-driven approaches to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.

Collaboration: Work closely with the interprofessional team to identify training needs and gaps in understanding. Collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to develop targeted training solutions that address these gaps and enhance competency in key areas.

Performance Support: Operate as an integral member of the Clinical Integration cross-functional team, contributing to the development and implementation of training programs that support the team's ability to meet performance expectations and project goals.

Strategic Alignment: Work under the strategic leadership of the AVP and Director for Interprofessional Education and Training to ensure that all educational initiatives are aligned with the broader strategic agenda of CT&I.

Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging trends in instructional design and adult learning, integrating innovative approaches and technologies into training programs to enhance their impact.

Travel and On-Site Evaluation: Conduct iterative evaluations of educational methods and activities, which will necessitate travel to Innovation sites and HCA facilities to gather insights and ensure that training programs are effective and aligned with on-the-ground needs.

Behavioral Norms and Compliance: Practice and adhere to HCA's Behavioral Norms, "Code of Conduct" philosophy, and "Mission and Value Statement," ensuring that all actions and decisions align with the organization's ethical standards.

Committee Participation: Serve on CT&I Committees and actively participate in all activities related to readiness, planning, and implementation, contributing to the success of CT&I initiatives.

Relationship Cultivation: Cultivate strong relationships within the HCA professional development community while fostering connections with both internal and external clients, ensuring effective collaboration and support for CT&I objectives.

Qualifications:

Experience: 5-10 years of experience in instructional design, particularly in a healthcare or technology-driven environment is required.

Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including interprofessional stakeholders.

Expertise in identifying training needs, designing targeted learning programs, and evaluating their effectiveness.

Familiarity with current trends and best practices in instructional design and adult learning.

Excellent communication and project management skills.

Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Willingness and ability to travel to various Innovation sites and HCA facilities as required.

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the AVP and Director for Interprofessional Education and Training within the CT&I team.

Travel Requirement: The job may require up to 25% travel.
