PART-TIME
Location: Little Rock, AFB
The Music Director's Duties:
The Ecumenical Music Director plans, coordinates, and leads all music and choir performances, as required, for Little Rock AFB Ecumenical worship services, special/holy day services, and practice sessions.
Provide music/choir leader services, as required, for Little Rock AFB Chapel.
Wear appropriate attire consistent with a professional appearance.
Perform for each service and rehearsal by leading congregational hymns and special music performed by choir and/or instrumentalist.
Coordinate with the Lead Chaplain and Musicians to determine musical selections and requirements for all services/rehearsals.
REQUIREMENTS /QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience directing a choir or band.
Have knowledge and experience of musical traditions of Ecumenical worship (i.e., liturgical, traditional, and contemporary music.) and have the ability to plan, coordinate, and lead various types of music.
Have the ability to maintain healthy, functional interpersonal relationships with personnel including chapel staff, contractors and parishioners.
Have the ability and willingness to provide services in a pluralistic and multi-faith chapel setting.
Will be required to demonstrate (in person) the ability to read music proficiency, direct a team of musicians, and lead choir activities.
HOURS/PERFORMANCE:
Is expected to work 5 hours per week.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 per week
