The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a keen eye for design to create stunning spaces that exceed expectations. The ideal candidate will be career-minded, seeking an opportunity to grow professionally and assist in the overall growth of our company. Our mission is to hire individuals with a strong skillset, provide additional training, and develop employees into leaders.The Sr. Designer's main responsibility is to provide creative and technical support to customers for merchandise and display needs. As a problem solver, their contribution to the design and sales process will provide potential and existing customers with the right product solution for their projects. This process will require the execution of several tasks and services listed below. Depending on the level of opportunity, client type, and custom requirements, other team members and related departments may support the process. Scope of opportunities will vary, with higher responsibility given to the development and growth of high-profile customer accounts, designer cross-training, and proactive contributions in terms of departmental initiatives.Key Responsibilities Include:
Qualifying, establishing, and maintaining effective relationships with customers.Maintaining strong product line knowledge to match customer needs with the right solution.Creating detailed project proposals that include presentation drawings and detailed quoting.Understanding documentation, BOMs, and assembly detailing.Providing interdepartmental improvement recommendations and training.Utilizing professional design skills to promote and secure sales of OPTO products and services.Demonstrating interest and desire to work in the behind-the-scenes world of the retail industry.Exuding a positive attitude and enthusiasm for success and influencing others with this attitude.Being technically savvy (AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, PowerPoint).Being detail-oriented.Exhibiting excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate quickly and effectively.Prioritizing and managing workload efficiently.Working independently and as part of a team.Holding an associate's degree or higher in interior design.Communicating across multiple departments and managerial levels.Working successfully in a strong team environment.Interpreting customer needs quickly and effectively communicating appropriate design solutions both verbally and in writing.Prioritizing and working independently with minimal supervision.Multi-tasking while maintaining a sharp eye for detail.Demonstrating effective stress management and time management skills.Showing willingness to continually learn about the retail industry to help OPTO grow.Being self-motivated and seeking to participate in the growth of our company.What we offer:
