Sr Principal Network Communications (Level 4)
to join our diverse team of professionals located at Beale AFB, CA.
You will maintain smooth operation of Advanced and Specialized Information System Hardware and Software. Your duties include:
Plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of several complex and specialized information systems.
Maintain technical expertise in all areas of information systems hardware/software, radio frequency and SATCOM communications systems, and computer interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
Propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.
Prepare or ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
Provide regular monitoring and analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
Coordinate third-party maintenance for equipment.
Design systems or portions of systems that include selection of hardware and software packages.
Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of 13 years of Network Communications experience and a High School diploma or equivalent. 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD may also be considered.
Ability to obtain and maintain Bi-Annual FAA Third Class Flight Physical Certification.
Ability to complete initial qualification training within 365 days from program access and show continuous progress throughout the training program.
Willingness to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on-call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, and 365 days a year.
Ability to meet medical requirements for worldwide travel.
Have and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
Be able to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location.
Ability to comply with mobility requirements to include required immunizations and vaccinations.
A current DoD Top Secret security clearance and be able to maintain that clearance.
Ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.

Salary Range:
$115,400 - $173,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
