The Graphic Designer 1 is responsible for the delivery of projects from concept through completion. The graphic designer will develop marketing materials including design/layout of advertisements, newsletters, display panels and proposal/presentation materials (covers, flysheets, proposal graphics, proposal layout, etc.). Researches paper options, printing techniques and digital media processes as necessary. Prepares work for output and meets with vendors to discuss and estimate projects. Ensures quality control through approval of proofs and review of materials.
Interprets client requirements to creatively design and build customized work and graphics for use on multiple platforms. Makes design decisions based on client feedback, branding standards and overall vision. Develops and maintains design mockups, storyboards and other design documents. Develops, designs and creatively solves design challenges for various media platforms. Updates design knowledge by participating in educational and professional opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations. Performs other related duties as necessary.Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Fine Arts or related field of study or equivalent experienceKnowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Outlook)Offset printing/digital printing/color correction knowledgeAbility to design in a wide variety of stylesEye for design details, such as typography, alignment, hierarchy, etc.Strong portfolio showing design experienceAn understanding of branding/brand development, communications and researchAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustPreferred Qualifications
