Our Marketing Specialist will be responsible for handling a wide range of marketing support tasks that include preparing content, promoting that content through traditional and digital channels, coordinating our brand presence and messaging for industry events, executing campaign tactics through HubSpot, and supporting our sales teams. This person will also be responsible for project management for select key service lines within the business (including campaign development oversight, partnerships with business development leaders, etc.).

The successful candidate will be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and will report directly to the Marketing Lead. This candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with key business line leaders and help implement marketing strategy with respective business line marketing partners. In addition, the successful candidate will be exceedingly well-organized, flexible, and enjoy the organizational challenges of supporting a fast-paced work environment.

Candidates are expected to have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing or communications, preferably in professional services.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Our Marketing Specialist position has a fully remote work arrangement. We have a preference for candidates in the Denver, CO or Houston, TX areas.

As a key member of the Marketing team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

Content and Digital Marketing Support

Work with business development leads to execute successful content marketing programs, including editorial calendar development, project management to support annual business line goals, and independent researchOversee and support the development of external brand-building communications, including e-communications, press releases, thought leadership, blog posts, case studies, social content, web content, award applications, and advertisement copySupports execution of the marketing strategy and business line marketing plans directed by the Marketing LeadUse data-driven marketing insights to inform and optimize the content programUse email marketing and inbound marketing automation best practices to support business development within HubSpotTransform draft technical PowerPoint presentations into polished assets by applying design best practices and our internal marketing guidelinesMonitor and report on associated campaign activities across Salesforce and HubSpotSupport business line participation in events and webinars, including event communications (pre- and post-e-marketing campaigns), collateral development, signage, graphics and promotional materials, and booth content with respective internal event coordinators and BD teamPerforms other job-related responsibilities as assigned

Business Development Team Support

Work closely with a highly experienced team of environmental professionals who come together to understand clients and communicate our value propositionLead and assist market research (i.e. uncovering client concerns and preferences, analyzing the competition) to inform the strategyCollaborate with project managers and technical team members to help draft and write client-focused contentCreate and uphold corporate standards for all documentsSelect or recommend use of layouts, graphics, drawings, tables, exhibits, and illustrations or charts to amplify or clarify client-facing collateralKeeps up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.

Necessary Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

3 to 5 years marketing-related experience, preferably in the professional services industryBachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or similar degree from an accredited universityProject management experience with excellent organizational and planning skillsStrong writing, editing, and proofreading capabilitiesKnowledge and understanding of current marketing trendsFamiliarity with key marketing software, including HubSpot, Asana, Salesforce, and CanvaFamiliarity with CRM systems, email marketing, web content management systems (i.e. WordPress), and social mediaStrong expertise in Microsoft Office SuiteResourcefulness, flexibility, and resiliency to operate in a dynamic work environment
