Job Summary
The Sales and Marketing Director works to maximize occupancy through strategic marketing, community outreach, and networking. Is responsible to represent the assigned residence while performing marketing responsibilities, including the building of positive relationships with referral sources and qualified prospective residents. Major focus is on educating referral sources, prospective residents, and their family on the philosophy and services of the corporation and each specific residence. With compassion and understanding, the Sales and Marketing Director assists each prospective tenant through their decision-making process.
Tasks
Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives and market characteristics.
Develop, implement, and maintain an effective marketing plan to include the following:
Regular visiting of referral sources.
Hosting events at the residence for qualified prospects and referral sources.
Coordinating advertisements and collateral material development.
Providing collateral and promotional information to prospects and the community.
Maintains liaison and establishes rapport with appropriate referral agencies, and constituencies influential within the primary market area.
Builds positive relationships with surrounding communities, governmental agencies, and referral sources.
Formulate, direct, and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote services.
Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of services by analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
Maintain effective marketing, advertising, public education programs concerning the capabilities and services offered by the facility.
Joins community groups and attend meetings to build goodwill in the primary market area.
Attend seminars, appropriate industry conventions, read books and publications, and participate in training seminars for marketing and sales of senior supportive living residences.
Remains committed to attaining excellent residence and community satisfaction through ongoing solicitation and measurement of consumer feedback.
Establishes “Advisory Groups” for each residence to provide community feedback on desired or necessary services.
Assure the provisions of high-quality services needed or desired by residents.
Maintain relationships between the residence and the tenant’s families and/or other individuals responsible for the general well-being of the tenant.
Maintains current and accurate records of all communication with prospective residents using a system to track each prospect from the initial contact to the final decision.
Supports Executive Director in achieving and maintaining targeted occupancy levels.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a diploma from an accredited college or university with academic preparation in marketing is desired.
Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.
Must be able to conceptualize, organize, and implement a strategic marketing plan for assisted living programs.
Must present a professional demeanor both in the residence and the community.
Should possess strong interpersonal relation skills and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities.
Previous customer service exposure is desired.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and presentable personal vehicle.
