Duties

If you are interested in applying for this job, please make sure you meet the following requirements as listed below.As a Writer-Editor, you will:Advise OA staff on message development, report writing, design, and execution of visuals, as well as provide editorial support for a variety of written products and make revisions and/or recommendations to improve logic, quality, and impact.Participate in key meetings with teams, managers, and senior leaders on report focus, message, and progress.Independently ensure that OA reports, publications, etc. meet the appropriate techniques, methodologies, terminology, and guidelines provided by the Office Inspector General Executive Secretariat, United States Printing Office Style Manual, the Associated Press and or Chicago Manual of Style by reviewing and editing these documents for proper format, grammar punctuation, sentence and paragraph structure, and use of vocabulary consistent with the aforementioned standards.Interpret complex concepts and themes in documents prepared by the OA staff reconciling contradictions in the information presented, using expository narrative to develop balanced treatments of controversial matters in the presentation of conflicting points of views.Develop, when required, written reports of organizational achievements and activities for presentation and/or testimony to the Congress.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentThis opportunity is also open to under Announcement 24-TIGTA-247.
