You’re driven, dedicated, strategic, and solution-oriented with proven experience developing and implementing successful campaigns for travel, hospitality, and lifestyle brands.The RoleAs an Account Director, Public Relations, you will run accounts autonomously, driving the overarching account strategy while ensuring the team understands their roles and responsibilities. You’ll be the main client contact for nuanced conversations related to the team and the work, and you will drive the strategy and deliverables to ensure results.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccount + Client ManagementTravel for client needsLead banner hospitality moments and campaignsCreate, execute, delegate, & course correct overarching account strategiesImplement strategies and oversee the performance of KPIsAct as a trusted partner to ClientsOversee scopes of work and direct your teamsMonitor your team’s activity to ensure budgets and client satisfactionLead your team by providing clear, focused guidanceDesign impactful PR campaigns and activationsManage conversations with clients relating to contract renewalUnderstand your client’s business goals and lead account strategyNurture client accounts with proven tacticsIdentify add-on projects for clientsMedia RelationsCreate pitches that land in bigger features and meaningful sectionsGuide your teams to proper media contactsNurture your A-list media relationshipsStay relevant in the changing media industryNew BusinessProvide thought leadership for new business proposalsAttend new business meetings as the voice of account leadershipBuild and foster a personal network of contactsAttend conferences and events on behalf of J/PRMentor and guide your team membersOtherAnd other tasks, projects, or duties as requiredExperienceCollege Degree or comparable experience requiredAt least 10 years of public relations experience in hospitality, culinary, travel, tourism, or consumer lifestyleRequirementsAbility to travel for client needsStrong relationships with media contactsEffective management skillsProficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication and organizational skillsMust be able to identify and resolve problemsHigh-energy, positive self-starterProven ability to handle time-sensitive projectsSolid leadership and coaching skillsMust have a valid passport for international travelJ/PR offers a competitive benefits package, including:Competitive base salary: $100,000- $110,000Commission opportunitiesYear-end discretionary bonusMonthly Cell Phone StipendCompany contributions to medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums401K with employer matchBirthday PTOFlexible Release FridaysHotel trade with our clientsHybrid office schedule (2-3 days in office)Milestone gifts at 1, 5, and 10 yearsOngoing training and development opportunitiesApplicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
