The Manager, Paid Social Media leads a team of social media specialists, managing the development and implementation of the social media and affiliate strategy and activation. In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for leading Holland America Line and Seabourn’s paid social media and affiliate marketing efforts. You’ll develop and execute strategies that align with the company’s marketing goals, ensuring effective campaign planning and performance outcomes. You’ll drive innovation, foster team development, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance brand presence and achieve business goals.Here’s a summary of what Holland America Line is looking for in its Manager, Paid Social Media. Is this you?ResponsibilitiesDevelop and drive the paid social strategy and tactical activation for Holland America Line and Seabourn. Utilize current social trends, buying guidelines, and creative best practices to optimize performance.Lead, mentor, and manage a team of creative professionals.Implement and optimize platform best practices, testing strategies, and recommend monthly budgets.Manage the affiliate program to align with influencers and content promoters, supporting Holland America Line’s bookings.Serve as a direct resource for leadership, presenting social strategies, performance results, and new opportunities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute a comprehensive social media and affiliate strategy across the marketing organization.Serve as the social lead on performance KPIs and reporting insights. Articulate the monthly story of campaign performance through appropriate data, historical performance, and future opportunities.Assist the social strategist in career growth by collaboratively creating growth plans, conducting weekly one-on-ones, commending great work, and providing effective and actionable feedback.Develop a strong POV for creative assets and best practice across social platforms and tactics.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Psychology and/or a related field required.3 - 5 years of paid social experience.5+ years of media experience.Experience managing a multi-million-dollar advertising plan and budget, including the development of brand creative.Knowledge of travel industry a plus.Proficiency with Meta platforms, including bidding and budget management.Demonstrated advertising and optimization experience required.Curious with relentless focus on driving results and setting a high bar for agency partners and internal teams to achieve KPIs and goals.Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving.Excellent understanding of media campaign set up, optimization, and reporting.Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership.Superior analytical skills.Excellent organizational and project management skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to work well with individuals at various levels in various departments within the company and with specific external resources.Excellent knowledge of media planning fundamentals e.g., reach, frequency, channels, formats, etc.Excellent attention to detail and facility in working with numbers.Self-motivated, results oriented. Resolves problems independently.Supervisory experience – managing and mentoring support team.Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading creative teams.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired.
