Lead communications support of Convention, including awards nomination processes, communications planning, promotion, event partners and activations, and Association-wide education session planning and promotion. Develop messaging and communications plans for other national office projects supporting membership and staff.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the development, tracking and execution of a Convention communications plan that includes pre-Convention, on-site and post-Convention communication to NCAA members and staff.Oversee event production for Convention awards programs.Serve as point of contact for event production agency in executing awards events at Convention.Oversee planning for education sessions at the NCAA Convention.Serve as primary communications liaison to national office and membership committees focused on Convention, including discussions involving Convention format and programming.Supervise internal & member communications staff supporting Convention.Assist with development and implementation of strategic communications plans for other national office projects supporting membership or staff.Support the director of internal & member communications with projects as needed.Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements

Education required: Bachelor's degree.A minimum of five years' experience in project coordination, with experience in communication planning and events preferred.Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communications, including management of multiple tasks and deadlines.Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics and the NCAA highly desirable.Finely tuned organizational and tactical skills.Organizational and team leadership skills essential.Superior attention to detail.Estimated travel required:

This position will be based out of the national office in Indianapolis, Indiana. Current work environment is hybrid; 3 days in the office and 2 days are remote.Key Competencies
