We are seeking talented Mechanical Designers to support a new program focused on creating simulators for navy aircrafts. You will be part of a growing team tasked with creating shop drawings for military aircraft and simulators. This role requires solid 3D modeling skills, with a background in sheet metal being a plus. You will manage large assemblies consisting of sheet metal, parts, sub-assemblies, hardware, and imported files. Additionally, you will help establish better modeling skills, provide software training, and suggest improvements for other Design Engineers.
Hard Skills
2-3 years design experience
Solidworks
Autocad
Solid 3D modeling
Creating shop drawings for custom equipment
Designing and drafting complex parts and assemblies
Managing small/large CAD assemblies and associated drawings
Familiarity with PDM Product Management Database
Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
Knowledge of GD&T for manufacturing sheet metal
Soft Skills
Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects
Prioritizing deadlines
Troubleshooting and adapting model files
Collaboration with Mechanical Engineers
Providing software training and improvement suggestions

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Jacksonville, Florida.
Work Environment
