Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESReads and interprets blueprints, component specifications, bills of materials, technical drawings, and schematics.Prepares mechanical sketches and drawings by rendering sectional, auxiliary, and multiviews, sub-assemblies, pictorials, dimensions, and developments, producing two- and three-dimensional orthographic projections using computer-aided design (CAD) and pictorial techniques, and producing three-dimensional (3-D) models.Produces engineering documentation by calculating, verifying, and copying data; comparing drawings to established standards; maintaining drawing files and databases; adhering to the ECN procedures; reading bills of material; searching and retrieving parts numbers.Researches and evaluates customer requirements to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.Documents engineering design by recording design features, functions, operational requirements, and warnings, and maintaining the design databases.Works with suppliers to procure and expedite prototype components and test equipment, as necessary.Evaluate design by developing simulations; identifying, isolating, and resolving design problems, and conducting tests.Understands concepts of tension, compression, bending forces, and weight.Experienced in tolerance stack-up calculation and GD&T.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple tasks.

REQUIREMENTSCertificate of completion of a CAD based training program OR3 years of practical experience and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding job expectations.Experience with CAD - AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, Creo (Co-Create) PPSV (MRP System)
