We are seeking a talented Linux Administrator who also has experience with radio technologies to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure and radio communication systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux systems administration and a solid understanding of radio technologies and equipment.This individual will be responsible for taking ownership of a system and presenting clients with future iterations. You'll participate in the development of a system of interest, encompassing hardware or software, through its entire life cycle, risk and opportunity management, and tailoring of processes to meet the needs of the specific project. You'll apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. You'll develop innovative solutions to complex problems. You'll work without considerable direction, mentor, and may supervise team members.As a Linux Systems Administrator on our team, you have the chance to shape this classified mission by joining a team of skilled technicians providing support for a 24x7x365 operations center, associated communications sites, and systems. You will install, administer and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability and performance. You'll monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular updates and patches. You'll manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings on Linux servers and configure and maintain radio communication systems, including hardware and software components. You'll integrate radio technology with Linux-based systems for seamless operation and data flow and provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on Linux and radio technology matters. You'll document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps and collaborate with other IT and engineering teams to support project requirements and operational goals.Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution. Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. Join our team and create the future of air defense.You Have:2+ years of experience as a Linux AdministratorExperience with radio communication systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshootingExperience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PerlExperience with network protocols, firewalls, and security best practicesKnowledge of Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu or Red HatAbility to work independently and effectively in a team environmentSecret clearanceBachelor's degreeAbility to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II networking Certification or DoD 8140 System Administrator (451) Certification within 90 days of hireNice If You Have:Experience with telecommunications, information technology, or broadcasting industriesExperience with PRC-117 systemsExperience with Command and Control (C2) Department of Defense (DoD) systemsExperience with the Joint Range Extension (JRE) and JRE Applications Protocol (JREAP) suitesExperience with Multi Source Correlator Tracker (MSCT) systemKnowledge of radiosPossession of excellent problem-solving skillsPossession of strong communication skillsRHCE, LPIC, or related CertificationClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.Compensation:At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
